We propose you to join the “System and Communication” Group which provides the computing resources and services to support the ESRF in its scientific missions. The S&C Group consists of four Units: Unix, Windows, Networks and User Support.
The Group's duties include users support, definition, procurement, implementation and operation of technical solutions for all centralised computing resources including the data communication network, systems, data storage and backup. The main challenge of the group is to deal with a massive data flow and large data storage, while ensuring a very high level of availability and IT-security for the facility.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic trainee to collaborate on the audit of our Microsoft infrastructure.
You will work within the Microsoft team in order to conduct, in coordination with a system engineer, a security audit of the ESRF Microsoft infrastructure
You will be responsible for:
- carrying out a preliminary study by consolidating the State of the Art in terms of Microsoft infrastructure
- conducting an audit of all Microsoft products (Active Directory, Accounts, Servers, Server Applications, Client workstations, Client Applications)
- carrying out different levels of tests: intrusions / cryptographic attack / Deny of Service / destruction / disaster recovery
- proposing corrective evolutions
- synthesising all the elements identified in the form of a report
The internship will take place in the System & Communication Group, supervised by de Bertrand Dupré (email@example.com) et Amandine Blachot (firstname.lastname@example.org). The duration of the internship is 6 months, the dates may be adapted according to the calendar requested by the school/university.)
