As a postdoctoral researcher, you will play a pivotal role in the development of an innovative multi-scale full-field microscope, contributing to a new era of scientific exploration. You will participate in the operation and further development of the ID03 beamline, with a mission to advance dark field X-ray microscopy (DFXM)—a newly developed technique that uses hard X-rays for full-field imaging of phase, orientation, and strain of crystalline volumes embedded within polycrystalline samples. This position involves close collaborations with institutes across Europe, including the Danish Technical University, Chalmers University, KU Leuven, and industrial partner OCAS, a trademark of ArcelorMittal.
Your responsibilities include:
You are enthusiastic about X-ray imaging, physical metallurgy, scientific computing, and the management of large datasets. You thrive in collaborative environments, possess exceptional problem-solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to work both efficiently and independently. To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
Contract of 18 months, renewable for a further 6 or 18-month period.
