Windows Technician

Context & Job description

The IT Services Group (ITS) plays a pivotal role in the European Synchrotron’s scientific mission, providing essential computing resources and services. We are currently seeking a skilled Windows technician to join our dynamic IT team and contribute to the efficient operation of our Windows Infrastructure.

As a member of the Windows Unit, you will play an important role in managing various tasks related to Windows systems, including Active Directory, office equipment, multimedia solutions and stores procurement. Working closely with the five team members, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our Windows systems.

Your main missions will include:

  • Management of Windows computers installation.
  • Provide maintenance and user support for Windows PCs and printers/scanners.
  • Participate in Active Directory management tasks.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends.
  • Maintain and provide expertise in user support for multimedia solutions.
  • Manage the set of ESRF Windows personal computers.

Expected profile

  •  Technical degree (BSc, Licence, HND, HNC, BTS, DUT, Bachelor, Meister, Vordiplom, Perito, Laurea Triennale, Diplomatura, lngenieria Tecnica or equivalent worth at least 120 ECTS) in Computing or any other relevant domain.
  •  In-depth knowledge of Windows technologies (Workstation and Servers).
  • Several years of experience with Windows.
  • Excellent communication skills and service oriented mind-set.
  •  Aptitude for teamwork.
  • Team spirit and reactivity,
  • Analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in English (working language)

Working conditions

Permanent contract.

The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
