Purchasing Assistant

Context & Job description

In a team of 10 people and under the supervision of the Head of Procurement and Contracts service, you will carry out the administrative and technical tasks associated with purchasing activities.

Your main missions will be the following:     

  • Process of Purchase Requests  
  • Supplier data entry and follow up  
  • Preparation and follow up on quotation requests for indirect purchases  
  • Negotiation with suppliers on commercial conditions for small value orders  
  • Process and follow-up of purchase orders  
  • Ensure support to the Engineers and technicians in the purchasing process   

Expected profile

  • Technical degree (BSc, Licence, HND, HNC, BTS, DUT, Bachelor, Meister, Vordiplom, Perito, Laurea Triennale, Diplomatura, Ingenieria Técnica or equivalent) in purchasing, international business or business administration  
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar position  
  • Organised, versatile, rigorous and good communication skills)  
  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit are also required in order to work effectively in an international multicultural environment  
  • Proficiency in English (working language at the ESRF)   

Working conditions

The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
