Finance Officer

Context & Job description

Under the supervision of the Director of Administration, your scope of work will be the following: 

  • Contribute to the general running of the Service/General Accounting Unit.
  • Participate in the management of the ESRF accounts, in accordance with the procedures required by the French Plan Comptable Général and the ESRF Financial Rules and Regulations, liaise with the internal and external auditors.
  • Ensure customer invoicing and accounts management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
  • Participate in the preparation of the Administrative and Finance Committee documents referring to general accounting and tax matters.
  • Contribute to the project to revise the ESRF Financial Rules and Regulations.
  • Provide accounting information of all kinds at the request of the Director of Administration.
  • Perform other accounting tasks and ad hoc assignments linked to the position and Accounting/Finance matters.

Expected profile

  • Higher university degree (Master or equivalent 300 ECTS diploma) in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with different people, with organisation and rigour
  • Proficiency in English (working language at the ESRF)

Working conditions

12 months temporary contract

The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
