Accounting assistant

Context & Job description

As part of the Accounts Payable and Treasury Unit, a team of three people, you will be in charge of the following tasks:

  • Processing invoices from French suppliers based on purchase orders and contracts
  • Handling payment reminders and invoice disputes
  • Taking part in preparing invoice payment campaigns
  • Contributing to monthly and annual closing activities (e.g. provisions, account analysis)
  • Participating in initiatives to improve and optimise activities
  • Providing occasional support to the Finance Service on related tasks, as needed

Expected profile

Education

  • You hold a Bac/Bac+2 diploma in accounting or a related field.

Technical Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in relevant accounting activities
  • Solid knowledge and practical application of French accounting standards and techniques (P.C.G.) are required
  • Proficiency in IT tools, including standard MS Office applications and financial ERP systems
  • Working proficiency in English (working language at the ESRF)

Soft Skills

  • Strong sense of rigour and organization
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Working conditions

Permanent contract.

The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
