Windows Technician F/M

Context & Job description

The IT Services Group (ITS) plays a pivotal role in supporting the European Synchrotron’s scientific mission by providing essential computing resources and services. We are seeking a skilled Windows technician to join our dynamic IT team and contribute to the efficient operation of our Windows infrastructure. As part of the Windows Unit, you will play an important role in managing various systems-related tasks, including Active Directory and office equipment, multimedia solutions and stores procurement.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows PCs and associated hardware and software.
  • Monitoring the workstation fleet. 
  • Oversee and monitor the printers/scanners. 
  • Maintain and provide regular user support for multimedia solutions.

Expected profile

  • Technical degree (BSc, Licence, HND, HNC, BTS, DUT, Bachelor, Meister, Vordiplom,  Perito, Laurea  Triennale, Diplomatura, lngenieria Tecnica or equivalent worth at least 120 ECTS) in Computing or any other relevant domain.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows technologies (workstations and servers).
  • Two years minimum experience with Windows.
  • Excellent communication skills and service oriented mind-set.
  • Team spirit and reactivity.
  • Analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in English (working language)

Working conditions

12-month temporary contract.

The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
