- Post-doctoral Fellow for the Small-Angle Scattering Beamline ID02
You will participate in the operation of the beamline, ongoing in-house research programmes, provide support to external users as local contact, and develop your own research programme. Together with the beamline scientists, you will be required to participate in the development of data analysis methods and sample environments specific to the beamline.
ID02 is a high resolution SAXS/WAXS/USAXS/XPCS instrument featuring a 34 m detector tube and state-of-the-art detectors combined with a variety of sample environments. This beamline is primarily dedicated to soft matter science and related areas of biophysics. Current in-house research topics include dynamics of spontaneous self-assembly processes in amphiphilic systems, the emergence of complexity in active matter, and the interplay between microstructure and rheology in complex fluids. These programmes involve time-resolved investigations combined with a variety of techniques such as rapid mixing, rheology, etc. and advanced data analysis.
