Context & Job description
The IT Services Group plays a pivotal role to the European Synchrotron’s scientific missions, providing computing resources and services. Join our IT team and play a key role in the daily operations of our expansive and intricate data communication network. This network boasts approximately 700 switches, enabling 45,000 ports that connect over 10,000 network nodes.
Your main missions will include:
- Contribution to the evolution of the network infrastructure.
- Wired & Wireless network infrastructure operation and survey.
- Maintenance of the Ethernet switches & routers.
- Upgrades and new installations
- Management of cable subcontractors.
- Participation in troubleshooting.
Expected profile
- Technical degree in Computer science or Network technology (BSc, Licence, HND, HNC, BTS, DUT, Bachelor, Meister, Vordiplom, Perito, Laurea Triennale, Diplomatura, lngenieria Tecnica ) or equivalent worth at least 120 ECTS.
- At least 2 years of professional experience.
- In-depth knowledge of networking including switches, routers and security.
- Cisco or Extreme Networks certifications will be an asset.
- Proficiency in Linux, open-source tools, scripting languages and web development.

- Proficient in multi-tasking.

Working conditions
The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
