Software Developer Technician F/M

Context & Job description

The IT Services Group (ITS) plays a pivotal role in supporting the European Synchrotron’s scientific mission by providing essential computing resources and services. We are seeking a skilled Software Developer Technician to join our dynamic IT team and contribute to the upgrade of several tools within the Information System that supports the facility’s management. As part of the MIS (Management Information System) Unit, you will migrate software to the latest releases, refactoring code to resolve issues and deploy new functionalities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Modifications of budget follow-up tools.
  • Upgrade of the Time Sheet Management System.
  • Deployment of REST API interfaces.
  • Upgrade and improve the integration of Management Information System tools.

Expected profile

  • Technical degree (BSc, Licence, HND, HNC, BTS, DUT, Bachelor, Meister, Vordiplom,  Perito, Laurea Triennale, Diplomatura, lngenieria Tecnica or equivalent worth at least 120 ECTS) in Computing or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of the PHP language and Symfony/Laravel frameworks.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in software development.
  • Service-oriented mindset, team spirit and reactivity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English (working language).

Working conditions

The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
