The Electronics Unit within the Detector & Electronics Group of the Instrumentation Services and Development Division provides cutting-edge development and support in control electronics for instrumentation across the ESRF experimental stations and accelerator complex.
As a Senior Electronics Engineer in the Electronics Unit, you will:
- Develop and integrate FPGA-based control and data-acquisition architectures;
- Lead multidisciplinary development projects leveraging FPGA, and advanced digital and mixed-signal electronics solutions;
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to push the boundaries of electronics for synchrotron radiation experiments instrumentation.
You will have the opportunity to work on exciting and high-impact projects, including:
- Development of the timing system for the sequencing and synchronisation of the accelerator complex using the White Rabbit technology;
- Contribution to the design of a next-generation Linear Accelerator within an international collaboration programme;
- Participation in the design of control electronics for state-of-art experimental stations;
- Implementation of high-throughput data readout systems for X-ray detectors.

Permanent contract.
The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
